Glass Alchemy Purchases 100% green power to meet our energy needs, offering you an opportunity to help lower your carbon footprint as you create your works of wonder. Glass Alchemy is purchasing 53,114-kilowatt hours of renewable energy each month, essentially all of our power use. Over the course of a year, that offsets 637 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, which is the environmental equivalent of planting 125,190 trees or not driving 1.4 million miles.

EPA Green Power Partnership

Glass Alchemy, Ltd. has partnered with the US Environmental Protection Agency and uses 100% green power for organization-wide electricity use. This green power purchase helps reduce the environmental impacts of electricity use and supports the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide.

Blue Sky

By purchasing renewable energy through the Pacific Power Blue Sky program, Glass Alchemy is helping to protect the environment by offsetting the need for more fossil fuel generation. Renewable energy produces lower levels of air pollutants, wastewater, smog and acid rain, and it can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

ACMI

As a manufacturer we have taken the responsible steps to have our products evaluated by a qualified toxicologist and labeled according to ASTM D 4236. Products bearing the AP Approved Product Seal of ACMI are certified to contain no materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or injurious to humans or to cause acute or chronic health problems.

RecycleWorks

Recycle at Work is a program from the City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development, which has awarded Glass Alchemy, Ltd. with the RecycleWorks award. This award demonstrates that Glass Alchemy, Ltd. is serving as a business role model for others, reducing, reusing, recycling, making sustainable purchasing choices and going beyond recycling by participating in other sustainable practices.
